If you want a sweet morning treat reminiscent of a creamsicle try my dairy-free refined sugar-free sunshine smoothie. Its packed with vitamin and mineral-rich fruits that are naturally sweet so there's no need to add anything fake to the mix. 

Each ingredient provides unique health benefits: 

  • Mangoes boost immunity and brain health while helping to clear skin, control blood pressure and eliminate indigestion. 
  • Bananas add potassium, fiber, vitamin C and B-6 while being naturally fat and cholesterol free.  
  • Ginger root is an anti-inflammatory immune booster that provides digestive support and aids in weight-loss.

INGREDIENTS: 

1/2 cup orange juice 

3/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk

1/2 of a fresh mango

1 small banana (frozen for thicker texture) 

1/4-1/2 inch fresh ginger root

Handful of ice

HOW TO:

Mix all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.

If you like the texture to be thicker use frozen fruit or add more ice. If you prefer it thinner add more liquids (OJ or coconut milk) until you reach desired consistency.
